Join us in a conversation with Richard Rosin and Erik Lees, our local Green Burials Providers in Manitoba. This event showcases some greener burial and funeral planning options that are available here in Manitoba; so please come onto Zoom this Saturday, September 25th at 10 AM, and bring your questions for Richard and Erik.
Richard has been a funeral director for almost 40 years and is the founder of Richard Rosin Funeral Director Ltd., a full-service funeral company specializing in Green Burials, Home Funerals, and online educational events.
Keenly aware of environmental concerns, Richard’s board activities with the Green Burial Society of Canada have led to co-founding Green Burial Manitoba. It aims to encourage and provide resources to cemeteries, funeral directors, and families to make better choices in their environmental legacies.
Richard is a signatory to Winnipeg-based BizforClimate. Winnipeg’s Friendliest Undertaker™ is active in the community, including board membership with the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Grace Lutheran Church, and Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra. He is also a member of B.O.S.S. (Businesses and
Organizations Supporting Seniors). He and his team additionally support the United Way and have participated in their annual Plane Pull fundraising events.
When relaxing, you can find Richard enjoying the trailer at The Oasis with their three dogs (in order of equal cuteness) – Addi, Lola, and Joey.
Erik is a founder and past president of the Green Burial Society of Canada. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects and a Registered Professional Planner. He has served on design panels, community associations, and numerous advisory committees associated with parks, urban design, health, and the built environment. Over the last 35 years, his passion for meaningful, sustainable landscapes has underpinned his work.
Lees has been at the helm of LEES+Associates since 1998.
