The Committee of the Whole (COTW) is a meeting for all GPM members to participate in debating and amending resolutions for the AGM, taking place on January 30th 2022 from 10:30h to 15:00h CST (10:30 AM to 3:00 PM).
Below, you will find information on how to prepare for, register for, and attend the Committee of the Whole Meeting.
This year, the Committee of the Whole meeting will hold the part of the AGM process where members have the opportunity to debate and amend resolutions up for vote at the AGM.
Dealing with debate and amendments in a separate meeting before the AGM allows the AGM itself to be shorter and more streamlined, allows us to engage more members through online voting before the AGM, and allows all members to take part in the AGM in a variety of ways, depending on their interests and availability.
If you’re interested in shaping the policies and governance documents of the GPM, the Committee of the Whole is for you! Take some time in the next week to read, annotate, and think about the resolutions being proposed.
All Members in good standing are entitled to submit amendments to the resolutions being proposed, which will be debated at the Committee of the Whole meeting.
Amendments can either be submitted “on the floor” at the COTW meeting or (preferably) in advance using the google form linked with the button below!
The Committee of the whole will be held virtually via Zoom on 30 January 2022 from 10:30h to 15:00h CST (10:30 AM to 3:00 PM) and will include a 30-minute break for lunch.
All members in good standing of the GPM are considered members of the COTW and are entitled to attend and participate. In order to verify that all attendees are members, advance registration is required, which can be done by clicking the button below.
