Manitoba's own, Ani Terton, is in Durban for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) in Durban, South Africa. Ani is a member of the Canadian Youth Delegation and will be observing as people from around the world work with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to find a global agreement to curb greenhouse gas emissions. Also the Green Party of Canada has sent Leader Elizabeth May, John Streicker, Green Party President and Arctic and Northern Affairs critic, along with other Canadian and international Greens, who will be attending the UN climate change negotiations to get concrete action on climate change.
